Neo Impressionists exhibition (Landscapes)

25/7 – 13/8: Neo Impressionists exhibition (Landscapes)

Landscape painters met (8-14 June) for the second time in Serifos in an effort to depict the unique characteristics and colours of the island. Working under the strong sun they were lured, as many others before them, by the ochre, the deep blue of the sea, the white of the houses, the green of the fig tree, the wind, the local people, the morning and evening light of the Cycladic islands and the way waves break on the rocks.

The artists, similar to the Ancient Sculptors and the French Impressionists who were both strongly inspired by nature, reacted to the beauty of the island's landscape creating artwork that reflects their personal interpretation.

The organising committee:
In collaboration with Serifos Festival, Leon Holmes, Dimitris Vogiatzoglou and Michael Richardson

Exhibiting place: At Serifos Theater, Free entrance
